Joy Unlimited 2: explanations...

Dear America,

so in the UK we have a different movie rating system. I can honestly say I have never felt guilty for watching an R-rated movie since "R-rated" does not exist here. We start with "U" (Universal, for anyone), PG (parental guidance... you know that one, just minus the 13!). Then we have 12A (viewers must be 12 yrs old or accompanied by an adult). Then we have 15, and 18. 15's are normally the equivalent of R-rated, although not always. Most horror shows are 18's, and then the occasional other show will make it in there for excessive violence, swearing, or sexual scenes. (The only other things that might come in as 18's are movies that we won't concern ourselves with).

I imagine there will be future explanatory notes on the sometimes overlooked differences on this side of the Atlantic
